The DMW-SFU software update gives you access to video recording with V-Log L mode on the DMC-GH4 and DC-GH5. This mode offers exceptional flexibility and a wide dynamic range for color grading in post-production. The V-Log and V-Log L curves have been designed to offer a characteristic curve similar to that of the Cineon, i.e., a curve characteristic of film scanning. Taking advantage of the 4/3 sensor, the V-Log L curve offers a dynamic range of 12 stops. V-Log and V-Log L have the same characteristic curve, and the same LUT can be used.
