TerraMaster F4-425 4-Bay NAS File Server - NAS-Server

The TerraMaster F4-425 combines four SATA drive bays with an Intel N5095 quad-core processor and expandable DDR4 memory to provide a flexible NAS platform for home and small-office environments. The processor operates at up to 2.9 GHz and is supported by 4 GB of DDR4 RAM, which can be upgraded to 16 GB for applications requiring additional system resources. A 2.5GbE network port provides faster network transfers than conventional Gigabit Ethernet.

The four bays support 3.5" and 2.5" SATA HDDs and SSDs, allowing a total storage capacity of up to 120 TB. TOS 6 provides centralized file management together with backup, synchronization, remote-access, and security functions. Multiple user accounts and permissions allow separate private storage areas while shared folders provide convenient access to selected files.

Terra Photos uses local AI processing to organize photo libraries by recognizing faces, animals, objects, and landscapes. Because analysis takes place on the NAS, photos do not need to be uploaded to an external cloud service. Support for common image formats including JPG, PNG, GIF, WEBP, and HEIC allows photos from different devices to be managed in one location.

The F4-425 also supports real-time file synchronization through TerraSync and TNAS PC Client, while file versioning allows previous versions of documents to be restored. Backup functions cover computers, smartphones, USB storage, and cloud services, providing multiple options for protecting important data.

For multimedia use, hardware-accelerated 4K transcoding for H.264 and H.265 content enables smooth playback across compatible devices. Support for Plex, Emby, and Jellyfin allows the NAS to serve as a centralized media library, while TNAS Online and the TNAS Mobile app provide remote access to files from computers, smartphones, and tablets.
