It is particularly well matched to compact LUMIX S bodies and creates a portable setup for travelling, walking around a city or working handheld for longer periods.The F2.5 maximum aperture provides additional flexibility when shooting in lower light and can create background blur when working close to the subject. A minimum focusing distance of 18 cm and maximum magnification of 0.15x also make it possible to create close-up compositions with an exaggerated wide-angle perspective.Designed for both stills and videoThe optical construction uses 11 elements in nine groups, including three aspherical elements and three ED elements. Panasonic has also incorporated focus breathing suppression to help keep focus transitions natural when recording video.Autofocus is fast, precise and quiet, while an AF/MF switch provides direct access to focus mode. The focus ring can be customized, and the Lens Fn button can be assigned to functions such as Crop Zoom for quicker access while shooting.Ready for outdoor useThe lens has a dust-, splash- and freeze-resistant construction for use in changing outdoor conditions.
