Creative Look offers easy creative flexibility. It provides 10 presets that can be applied directly or adjusted with 8 customizable parameters depending on the subject or scene and whether you're recording photos, videos, or live streams. This allows you to preset the desired mood for immediate sharing of images.

Optical 5-axis image stabilization
Handheld or in challenging lighting conditions – the integrated optical 5-axis stabilization system, supported by precise gyrosensors, offers up to 5 stops of shake compensation. It detects and compensates for various types of camera shake, such as tilt and pan shake at longer focal lengths or with long exposure times.

Precise compensation at the pixel level
With improved design and control of key parameters, the α6700 offers precise detection and control down to the pixel level, fully utilizing the 26.0-megapixel sensor resolution to capture images with fine details.

Selectable RAW file types and quality
In addition to compressed RAW recordings, the α6700 supports lossless compressed RAW, allowing efficient compression to capture more high-quality images in continuous shooting. A new light image quality is also available for JPEG and HEIF images, offering reduced file size.

HEIF: High compression and excellent image quality
For the first time in an APS-C camera, the α6700 includes the HEIF format (High Efficiency Image File) with smooth 10-bit gradations for more realistic sky and skin tone representation in portraits. The HEIF format uses advanced compression technology to reduce file size and storage space while maintaining image quality.

The α6700 is equipped with an innovative AI processing unit that significantly improves performance, including more accurate detection of various subjects.

Human pose classification
The α6700 uses subject shape data for motion detection, enabling improved eye detection. It applies learned human forms and poses to precisely detect body and head positions, allowing the camera to track subjects even if they turn away from the camera or if their face is obscured by a helmet or sunglasses.

Extensive subject recognition
The α6700 now recognizes not only people and animals but also birds, insects, cars, trains, and airplanes, making it even more flexible and reliable for capturing photos and videos. In addition to eyes (real-time eye AF), the settings for people, animals, and birds now also detect heads and bodies. Animal detection is 40% better than with the α6600.

Intelligent real-time tracking
The even more reliable AI-based real-time tracking supports various shooting situations, allowing you to focus on composition. The α6700 can even track people wearing helmets or animals turning away from the camera.

Faster, more precise AF with wide coverage
The immense processing power and updated algorithms of the new BIONZ XR processor deliver significantly improved AF performance with up to 759 phase-detection points, covering approximately 93% of the image area in photos.

Precise AF in low light down to -3.0 EV
Advanced AF algorithms achieve high AF accuracy even at light levels as low as -3.0 EV in AF-S mode (equivalent to ISO 100 with an F2.0 lens). The focus priority mode ensures reliable AF results in low light and smaller apertures.

More than 1,000 images at 11 fps
The powerful BIONZ XR processor and large memory buffer increase write speed for memory cards, allowing the α6700 to capture over 1,000 JPEG images, up to 59 compressed RAW images, or 23 lossless compressed RAW images in high-speed continuous shooting.

Full-time DMF
In photo shooting with AF-C or AF-S autofocus, you can switch to manual focus mode by turning the lens focus ring at any time. This allows easy focus adjustment to a different subject.

Focus bracketing for the optimal shot
The α6700 automatically captures up to 299 images with shifted focus points at definable intervals and sequences. You then choose the perfect image. When editing, you can creatively combine images with incredible depth of field.

Flicker suppression
Suppress flicker from artificial light sources in photos and videos. Simply select the "Anti-Flicker System" or use the "Var. Shutter" option to fine-tune the shutter speed according to the flicker rate when filming.

4K video recording for stunning quality
The α6700 records 4K (QFHD: 3,840 x 2,160) at up to 60p (50p) using Sony's 6K oversampling technology. By compressing these extended details on output, 4K video quality with outstanding definition is achieved, even at higher frame rates. The camera also supports XAVC S-I (All-Intra) and XAVC HS formats with 10-bit 4:2:2 color sampling.

4K 120p (100p) high frame rate recording
High frame rate recording up to 120p for 4K QFHD (3,840 x 2,160) allows for the recording of high-resolution videos in-camera. This expands creative possibilities in post-production, allowing subject movement to be emphasized or portrayed in slow motion. The S&Q mode also allows for direct in-camera time-lapse/slow-motion sequences.

Real-time tracking for videos
AI-based real-time tracking offers a massive improvement in real-time tracking performance by automatically detecting, tracking, and focusing on the eyes of a subject. In addition to starting tracking via touch-tracking, a custom button can be used to track the selected subject regardless of the subject's position in the frame or the focus area setting.

Better video image stabilization with Active Mode
The Active Mode reliably stabilizes handheld video recordings. The α6700 can measure camera shake and compensate for it precisely, providing effective stabilization without compromising mobility, even in 4K.

The viewfinder's refresh rate can be set to 120fps (double rate) for a smooth view with minimal motion blur when capturing moving subjects.

More shooting flexibility with tiltable monitor
The α6700 features a 3.0-inch LCD touch display with approximately 1.03 million dots in a 3:2 aspect ratio that can be tilted out to the side. This provides more freedom in positioning and framing, offering a variety of creative photo and video options for handheld and gimbal shots.

Intuitive touch control
Tap the screen to select key functions such as the focus point or the subject to track, and trigger the shutter. Swipe on the display from left to right to show touch symbols for quick mode changes or other settings. The function menu (Fn) is also displayed with a swipe. In playback, you can select images by tapping and zoom in with intuitive finger gestures.
