Cutting-Edge Camera
The camera features a first for the Phantom series: a 1-inch, 20-megapixel CMOS sensor. It comes with a custom-engineered lens made of eight elements arranged in seven groups. The mechanical aperture eliminates rolling shutter distortion when photographing fast-moving subjects or flying at high speeds, while the mechanical focus ensures sharpness.

1" CMOS Sensor
The size of the sensor is often more crucial to image quality than pixel count. A larger sensor offers better dynamic range, a higher signal-to-noise ratio, and improved low-light performance. The 1" 20MP CMOS sensor is nearly four times the size of the Phantom 4's 1/2.3" sensor. It uses larger pixels, has a maximum ISO of 12,800, and offers enhanced contrast.

H.264 and H.265 4K Video Recording
The powerful video processing system supports H.264 4K videos at 60 fps or H.265 4K at 30 fps, both recorded with a 100 Mb/s bit rate. The advanced sensors and processors capture more detail and provide the image data required for post-production manipulation.

Production-Optimized 4K
The advanced video processing system allows cinema- and production-optimized DCI 4K (4096 x 2160) at 60 fps and a 100 Mb/s bit rate. The camera also supports H.265 video encoding at 30 fps in 4K resolution. H.265 offers double the image processing efficiency of H.264, resulting in enhanced image quality due to more efficient compression. To make the most of the image data for color grading, record in the camera's high dynamic range D-log mode.

High-Resolution Lens
The camera is equipped with an aerial-optimized f/2.8 wide-angle lens, offering a 24mm equivalent focal length. With eight elements, two of which are aspherical, arranged in seven groups, the lens fits into a smaller, more compact frame. It produces sharp, vivid images with minimal distortion and dispersion.

Mechanical Shutter
The camera's mechanical shutter has a maximum speed of 1/2000-second, preventing motion blur and the "jello effect" often caused by a rolling electronic shutter when shooting fast-moving objects. The electronic shutter's maximum speed has been improved to 1/8000-second, and the camera features a Burst Mode capable of capturing 14 fps at 20 megapixels, allowing you to catch the perfect moment.
