With the new Rollei DashCam-402, you now have the option of meeting both requirements – you can choose between two recording modes: either you switch your new windshield camera to loop recording mode, which is permitted in numerous countries, or you activate the BGH-compliant emergency recording mode, which only records the last few minutes after an impact. The precise G-sensor ensures automatic saving of the accident footage, and the fixed focal length wide-angle lens captures all relevant events in Full HD and brilliant image quality within a focus range of 20 cm to infinity.

Regardless of the recording mode, in a critical situation, you can immediately start recording by briefly pressing the emergency button. The integrated GPS receiver continuously records the precise location coordinates. A speaker and microphone are also integrated directly into the robust housing to supplement the video recordings with valuable audio information. You can also use the microphone to record important information in the event of an accident and have it readily available for any potential court proceedings. The Rollei DashCam-402 starts recording video by default immediately after being switched on. The loop recording mode ensures that recording is not abruptly stopped due to the memory card running out of capacity. You can use microSDHC cards from 16 GB to 64 GB that comply with the Class 10 standard.

24-hour parking monitoring in standby mode

The new Rollei DashCam-402 not only protects your vehicle while you're on the road – with its 24-hour parking monitoring feature, you can finally bring parking lot mishaps out of anonymity. The internal lithium-ion battery doesn't drain your car battery when the engine is off, but thanks to its capacity, it maintains standby mode for up to 24 hours. Your dashcam remains in a power-saving sleep mode; only when the G-sensor sends a signal due to a vibration or movement does the dashboard camera immediately wake up and start recording for a few seconds. The dashcam, which features a mini-USB port, comes with a sturdy suction cup mount, a 12 V/24 V car adapter, and an instruction manual.
