The ELEGOO Centauri Carbon 2 is an enclosed FDM 3D printer designed for high-speed printing and compatibility with a wide range of materials. Its CoreXY motion system reaches speeds of up to 500 mm/s, with acceleration of up to 20,000 mm/s². The 256 × 256 × 256 mm build volume accommodates both individual models and multiple smaller parts, while the 350°C nozzle and build plate heated to 110°C support materials including PLA, PETG, TPU, ABS, ASA, PC, PA and selected carbon fibre-reinforced filaments.

Automatic calibration with 121-point bed levelling reduces the need for manual adjustments. A Dual-Gear Direct extruder, built-in camera, filament end sensor and clog detection help monitor the printing process. The printer can also resume printing after a power loss. A 5-inch capacitive touchscreen, USB and Wi-Fi connectivity, and compatibility with ElegooSlicer, Orca and Cura provide flexible control. The double-sided spring steel build plate features a textured PEI surface, while the enclosed chamber, HEPA filter with activated carbon and operating noise below 45 dB support everyday use. Multicolour printing is available with the separately purchased CANVAS system.
