Raise the sound quality on your PC with powerful decoding

With FiiO K3s, simply connect the device directly to the PC via the included USB cable to immediately upgrade to HiFi sound. Equipped with the XMOS USB chip, the K3s is capable of decoding up to 384kHz/32 Bit PCM and native DSD 256 - the same specifications found in much more expensive DACs.

Major improvements in the "core"

The new K3s uses the flagship portable ESS DAC chip, namely the ES9038Q2M. Compared to before, the signal to noise ratio has increased by 14 dB, and the distortion has been reduced by 13 dB.

Simple and efficient power with USB-C

K3s has adopted the modern USB-C connection for a more reliable and stable connection. At the same time, FiiO has implemented other engineering tricks under the panel to assure the listener of clean and good signals.

Low and high gain + bass boost

With the ability to adjust the gain level, you get more flexibility to adjust the volume. Together with the ADC volume control, you can adjust the volume in a smooth and efficient way. On this, you can use K3s with light-powered earbuds and heavy-powered headphones. In addition, you can use the bass boost function, if you want to focus on the bass register.

Great design right in the palm of your hand

CNC milled aluminium, anodized and sandblasted black finish. Quality that feels fantastic in the palm of your hand - combined with a compact size, you can take K3s with you wherever you want.

The volume knob with delicious details is easily operated with one finger. Next to it you will find the RGB light, which indicates which file type is being played.

Blue : 48kHz or lower

Yellow : Above 48 kHz

Green : DSD

2 USB modes

In certain scenarios, you do not have access to devices with USB 2.0 compatibility. Fortunately, you can change this with the switch on the back.

*If you want to use USB 2.0, you must download FiiO's USB driver.

*When changing USB modes, you either need to turn K3s off and on, or plug in and out the USB cable.

*USB 1.0 allows decoding up to 96 kHz/24-bit

*USB 2.0 allows decoding up to 384 kHz/32bit and DSD 256

2 headphone outputs

K3s is optimized for stationary use and with this you have access to both 3.5 mm and 2.5 mm headphone outputs. The balanced output is equipped with "jack detection", which means that when a headphone is connected to this output, a boost kicks in that gives 50% more power than with the unbalanced one.

Line out connection

The 3.5 mm line output is powered by op-amp OPA1612 to ensure minimal reduction in sound quality. By using this, you can connect the device to external active speakers and amplifiers. When using this, please disconnect the headphones. You can also use the coaxial and optical outputs in the same way, but it is important to note that these outputs operate independently of the volume control.
